Puppy Love

    A new rich pink strap (lance) leaf variety introduced here in 2014, Puppy Love is tolerant of full sun conditions and works well in the landscape as a short to intermediate variety. Puppy Love would remind you of Florida Sweetheart, one of its parents, but with a deeper richer color and much thicker leaves. Puppy Love is does well in 4” and larger pots, baskets and combination/patio planters.
    Caladium Puppy Love was highly regarded in the 2014 Costa Farms Season Premier trial gardens. Another Patented caladium from our Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Cleopatra Cannas

    Cleopatra cannas will be great displays of yellow and red blooms and highlighted by large tropical green and bronze color foliage all swirled into one. Cleopatra canna lilies can grow to heights of 36″ – 48″ and will bloom all summer long. These rhizomes produce flower displays are always random patterns of yellow and red – no two ever alike!

    Cleopatra Cannas are also available in our finished canna program.

Alaska Cannas

    Alaska cannas will be grand displays of white blooms highlighted by large tropical green foliage. Plants are moderate in height at 36″ and will bloom all summer long. For a big show in your landscape, cannas are ideal.

Gingerland

    Developed by the University of Florida, Gingerland is a popular favorite. Deep crimson main vein, green outer border and splotches of red on light color leaf – a stand-out caladium. Very striking plant that is highly recommended. Good for pot plants. Dominant eye removal suggested because it makes a very full and even crop. Will not tolerate overcrowding.

Peppermint

    Peppermint is a strap (lance) leaved variety.  As its namesake, Peppermint would remind you of a candy cane with dark rose red laminar areas and broad white veins, making it truly unique among strap varieties.  The most striking peppermint pattern occurs on mature foliage.   Immature foliage, such as what you get when you de-eye it, is largely white with rose red blotches.  Peppermint is useful in 4” pots and up but should be de-eyed for smaller pot sizes.  Peppermint also makes an interesting hanging basket.  Mature leaves of Peppermint can burn in full sun in the south therefore should be planted in semi to shady areas in the landscape in the Southeast US.  Peppermint is an intermediate size strap variety.
    This caladium variety was developed by Dr. Robert Hartman, CEO of Classic Caladiums and introduced in 2011.

Pink Beauty

    Pink Beauty is a fancy variety with narrow dark green border and crimson red veins.  Color continues to change with maturity.  Good for pot plants.

Postman Joyner

    Postman Joyner has bright crimson leaves featuring a vibrant green contrasting border. Our Postman Joyner fancy caladium bulbs deliver rain or shine, a classic that does well in full sun to shade. A good landscape choice – and makes a great patio pot.
    FYI – F. M. Joyner of Tampa, FL was a postman that began his breeding efforts about 1937. Joyner’s hybrids were commercially grown by L. L. Holmes of Lake Placid, FL, by cooperative agreement. Joyner is credited with the available varieties ‘Aaron’, ‘Crimson Beauty’, ‘Kathleen’, ‘White Queen’ and ‘Postman Joyner’.

Posy Pink

This variety is NOT in production at this time, please select an alternative variety as shown below
    Posy Pink prefers partial shade- more sun tends to fade the leaves. Great for pots, you may want to de-eye for better habit. Posy Pink Caladiums are a fancy patented creation of Dr. Robert Hartman, Classic CEO.

Radiance

    Heart to Heart™ Caladium Radiance is a 2016 pink fancy-leaved introduction.  Radiance has a bright intense rose pink center transitioning to light pink and white with pink spots and a green margin. Radiance leaves are moderate sized and have some frills – scored well in the 2015 Costa trials in Miami with both consumers and commercial viewers.  Radiance makes excellent 4” and larger pots with or without de-eyeing.  In the landscape it is short to intermediate in size. All Radiance bulbs are de-eyed and painted.

Red Alert

    A caladium from Classic’s CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman, this fancy beauty will enhance any landscape – particularly good for baskets, pots and planters. Leaves are matte with a pebbled surface, slight frills.

Red Flash

    Red Flash can produce some of the largest leaves of the caladium family. This fancy favorite has leaves that are vibrant red with petite pink specks and a dark green margin – some real eye-candy here that you can see from a distance. Great in the garden and will stand tall behind most any border plants. Traditionally a slower finish caladium, we have developed a new variety called Fast Flash that will finish weeks ahead of the older Red Flash variety.

Red Frill

    Red Frill is an attractive strap leaf variety with a dark green border a dramatic deep often shiny red leaf. Primary veins also red. Red Frill makes an attractive basket or patio plant. In the landscape Red Frill is often used as a border plant. Red Frill can tolerate sun.

Red Glamour Caladiums

    Red Glamour is a dark red pink to salmon strap leaf variety with dark green and red mottled veins and a dark green border. Red Glamour leaves are relatively flat, shiny and very thick. Red Glamour is a tough, sun tolerant & compact variety that shows well in pots & combination containers. Great caladium for any sunny spot in your landscape. Red Glamour is a caladium variety introduction from Classic’s President, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Red Ruffles

    Red Ruffles is an intense red strap leaf caladium, short to intermediate size and looks beautiful as a mass planting, a full hanging basket or as a border plant. This versatile caladium is a patent protected University of Florida release.

Restless Heart

    This new red variety has a wave like texture that is almost 3-D like. A sun-lover, Restless Heart also does well as a landscape plant, or as combo and patio pots. Another patented caladium variety from Classic breeder and CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Rosemary

    Rosemary Caladium – a rose red lance-leaved (strap) variety with a mottled light and dark green border. Classic’s grower Clay Wallace has recently upgraded Rosemary to tolerating full sun to full shade in the landscape. Rosemary makes an excellent hanging basket or perimeter plant in a combination container. In the landscape Rosemary can be used as a border plant. This patented caladium variety was developed by Dr. Robert Hartman, CEO of Classic Caladiums.

Sangria

    Caladium Sangria, as its name implies is a rich rose red strap (lance) leaf variety introduced in 2014. Sangria favors partial sun to shade conditions and works well in the landscape as a short to intermediate variety. Sangria is useful in 4” and larger pots, baskets and combination planters.
