Harry Hollander President of Abbott-Ipco, Dallas, Texas, joined with Dr. Robert Hartman to begin a caladium tuber production company, Classic Caladiums, LLC, in the year 2,000. Company focus was production of cleaned up rejuvenated traditional varieties and the breeding and commercialization of varieties with entirely new looks, better vigor, and new uses.

In 2017, Harry Hollander (center) passed away. Today ABI is managed by his sons Richard (right) and Marvin Hollander (left).
