Heart to Heart™ Tickle Me Pink is an intermediate height pink strap-leaf variety. It is quick to sprout and finish. Excellent for potting as well. This new variety was developed by Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted.

Tapestry is a vigorous plant with large leaves, and is a deep green with vibrant crimson main veins, the inner portion of the leaves sport white splotches, leaves are minimally frilly. They have done very well in our central Florida farm under bright sunny skies. This University of Florida release is well suited for large pots and planters and anywhere in the landscape.
Sweetheart caladiums have bright, intense pink heart shaped leaves and are striking in the landscape or as an accent. Mixing Sweetheart with a white caladium variety creates an awesome display. Especially good for hanging baskets. This is a patent protected variety from the University of Florida.

A new exclusive addition for the 2019 season, our fancy Sunset Pink caladium features a bright salmon pink almost rose center. Sunset Pink is a fancy leaf hybrid that is similar to Kathleen but is brighter in color and doesn’t fade. Looks great in anything from pots to a shady area under your oak tree. Another patented caladium from Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Summer Breeze – As its name implies, the fancy leaf caladium variety Summer Breeze will remind you of a warm summer day with a light breeze blowing. Summer Breeze makes large leaves, if not de-eyed, which are real show stoppers in shaded landscapes but should be de-eyed for pots. Summer Breeze shows well in pot sizes 6” and larger. This caladium variety was developed by Dr. Robert Hartman, CEO of Classic Caladiums and introduced in 2013. Prefers partial to full shade. The Trial Gardens at UGA Awarded Summer Breeze their “Plants of Distinction” award in our introductory year, 2013.

As Starburst caladiums leaves mature, they develop white main veins that contrast well with its dark pink background. Starburst caladiums can take up to 8 hrs of morning sun very well. A “shortie” – great for use in the foreground in a pot, basket or planter. Starburst is another lovely patent protected caladium variety from our Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Heart to Heart™ Caladium Splash of Wine is a new 2020 introduction from Classic’s CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman. Splash of Wine is a fancy leaved caladium with a white to pink background and features green main veins with cranberry red spots. Suitable for shady areas, may tolerate 6 hrs of morning sun. Splash of Wine will blush to a pleasing pink color when it first sprouts or develops in bright locations. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted.

This fancy leaved new variety has unusually thick leaves held on sturdy upright petioles. Southern Charm caladiums tolerate full sun. Well suited for container sizes 4″ and up. Southern Charm also preforms well in combination pots and patio containers. Exclusive to Classic Caladiums as of 2016. UGA has rated this caladium as a Plant of Distinction field trials in Athens, GA. This variety is a creation of Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Though a strap variety, Heart to Heart™ Xplosion will remind you of a short “fancy” leaf caladium. Xplosion™ represents a new color pattern among caladium varieties which comes from its Thai variety blood line. Xplosion™ has rose pink main veins and an olive green bronzy to pink background and margin. Interspersed between the main veins are large white splotches and spots giving it an exploding appearance. Xplosion™ has short pot crop time and has beautiful habit with or without de-eyeing. Xplosion™ is perfect for 4” and larger pots and with its compact mounding habit makes a great hanging basket. Xplosion™ is useful as a border plant in combination patio planters or in shaded landscapes. Xplosion is tolerant of high light conditions but we are still defining it’s full sun tolerance. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted.

Heart to Heart™ Caladium ‘Snow Flurry’ is a white fancy-leaved introduction having white veins and White Christmas type white windows with green margins. Snow Flurry is similar to Classic’s variety White Cap and to the variety Florida Blizzard but has larger and purer white windows and veins and darker green background contrasting well with the white veins and splotches/windows. Snow Flurry is intermediate to tall in height and upright in habit. Snow Flurry bulbs are de-eyed and painted before we ship. Snow Flurry sprouts and finishes quickly. In the landscape Snow Flurry tolerates full sun to shady locations. Another innovative caladium variety from Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.

Introduced in 2021, Hot Flash is a beautiful intense shiny red colored fancy-leaved variety. Hot Flash has good habit without de-eyeing though its habit is improved with de-eyeing. Hot Flash will tolerate 8 hours of sun. It makes an excellent 4-10 inch pot or basket. Mounded short to Intermediate in habit and stature Hot Flash can be used in border or intermediate plantings in the landscape. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted.

Caladium Clowning Around is a fancy-leaf variety with clear bright rose pink veins cream orange areas surrounding and between veins with olive green often raised areas on the edge giving the plant an interesting textured appearance similar to one of its parents Twist and Shout®. This is a new color pattern and combination for caladiums. Clowning Around is suited for pots 6” and larger pots and should be de-eyed to improve pot habit. In the landscape it reaches heights of 18”+. Clowning Around offers you an interesting new dimension in your red caladiums mix. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted. A shade lover, Clowning around can tolerate 6 hours of morning sun.

Burst My Bubble will be available for a spring 2024 introduction.
Because of the Thai blood, Burst My Bubble represents a new color among fancy leaf caladiums, including an overall sheen with a deep burgundy red background and pink spots. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted.
You may find Burst My Bubble in both our pre-finished and finished caladium programs before introduction as we put them out for review and testing.
In the landscape Ballet Slippers needs a shady to partially shaded (up to 6 hrs of morning sun) location. Ballet Slippers can “burn” with high light accompanied by a sudden drop in relative humidity such as when a cold front passed.
Ballet Slippers caladiums may be included in both our pre-finished and finished caladium programs after introduction.
White Pearl caladiums are a short to intermediate white lance-leaf (strap) variety. Similar in stature to White Ruffles, White Pearl is much purer white whereas White Ruffles is cream white. White Pearl has similar crop time to White Ruffles and White Wing. White Pearl makes an excellent 4” and up pot with or without de-eyeing. White Pearl makes and excellent component plant where neat and compact is needed. In the landscape, White Pearl tolerates full sun to shade and should be useful as a border plant. This caladium variety was developed by Dr. Robert Hartman, CEO of Classic Caladiums and introduced 2013.

Caladium White Marble is a 2006 introduction from CEO Dr. Hartman’s breeding program. White Marble is a beautiful lance-leaved (strap) variety that can stand full sun. It makes an excellent 4-8 inch pot with de-eying. White Marble’s closest similar variety would be White Wing or Jackie Suthers, however unlike either White Marble has white spots which in bright light may be pink. It is more upright than White Wing and more white than Jackie Suthers.

White Majesty caladiums – by far the largest white strap variety on the market, White Majesty is useful in pots 6” and larger and super in combination patio planters. White Majesty also lends itself well to the landscape being intermediate in stature. Its white leaves contrast well with its black petioles (stems). White Majesty is excellent in combination or patio containers. This caladium is another recent creation of Classic’s CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman.
