White Christmas caladiums feature White windows in leaves with wide green veins. Perhaps best white variety for pot plants. Makes a full plant without dominant eye removal but tends to be tall. Removal will lessen white color but not enough to ruin quality. Will not tolerate overcrowding and is highly susceptible to bacterial leaf spot. Within the traditional caladium varieties, White Christmas is challenging Candidum for number one variety.
You will find White Christmas caladiums in both our pre-finished and finished caladium programs.
Allow 6-8 week crop time in southern zones (approx 15 days to sprout), recommend de-eying for pots.
Recommended bulbs per pot:
4″ pots: 2-#1 bulbs, or 2-#2 bulbs
6″ (2.5qt) pots: 2-#1 bulbs, or 4-#2 bulbs
8″ (1.75 Gal) pots: 4-#1, or 8-#2 bulbs
