Allure caladiums – a 2016 patented fancy variety developed by Classic CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman. A white to off-white with striking deep green veins and black stems – look for 16″ to 17″ in height. Allure will tolerate morning sun but prefers shade, this one looks great in the landscape or patio pot. Thin, matte leaves can be large – the delicate green tracery between the veins also pops out.
Our breeding program is designed to start replacing older varieties with new, more vigorous caladiums with better habits and consistent growth. Allure may ultimately replace some of these older varieties, such as Candidum, that have lost much of their original vigor and properties.
You will find Allure caladiums in both our pre-finished and finished caladium programs.
Allow 6-8 week crop time in southern zones, recommend de-eying for pots.
