Lance leaf Desert Sunset presents a completely unique color pattern for caladiums. Leaves are salmon pink with copper colored veins. Desert Sunset has a compact full habit and therefore is useful in all pot sizes. In combination patio planters or your landscape; Desert Sunset is useful as a border or intermediate plant and prefers partial sun to full shade. Desert Sunset grows fast and will develop a full plant in 6-7 weeks. Desert Sunset was a runaway sensation at the 2016 Florida Federation of Garden Clubs State Convention. Expert gardeners who know and love caladiums raved over this new variety, not to mention, bought everything we had at the show! This variety created by our CEO, Dr. Robert Hartman, introduced in 2013.
You will find Desert Sunset caladiums in both our pre-finished and finished caladium programs.
