Heart to Heart™ Caladium Burning Heart is a bronze fancy leaf variety with pink to orange spots and represents a completely new color for caladiums. Before we release any variety we send out bulbs for our extensive field trial program partners in universities and commercial growers around the country – Burning Heart scored very high in these tests. Burning Heart is tall in height, grows quickly and makes a great container plant. All bulbs are de-eyed and painted.
It’s unique color is similar to the 2015 Pantone color of the year and compliments almost any other plant in patio or combination planters. Burning Heart works well in landscapes either in the shade or full sun. Award Winner at the UGA Field Trials, 2016 – Plants of Distinction. This variety is a creation of Dr. Robert Hartman, Classic CEO.
Burning Heart was also honored with an Award of Merit in the Oregon Association of Nurseries Farwest Show in August of 2021.
You will find Heart to Heart™ Caladium Burning Heart in both our pre-finished and finished caladium programs after 2023 introduction.
Heart to Heart™ Burning Heart has been selected by Proven Winners, The #1 Plant Brand, as a distinctive and proven caladium for their plant catalog. This partnership allows us at Classic to reach the much broader audience Proven Winners provides. Burning Heart is co-branded with Proven Winners and offered by both parties.
