PINK SPLASH CALADIUMS

   Caladium ‘Pink Splash’" is a pink fancy-leaved introduction (2011) with green main veins.  Pink Splash may be what we’ve all been looking for in a good reliable pink fancy caladium for pot production.  Pink Splash is intermediate in height and upright in habit and was the top scorer among consumers and commercial people in University of Georgia trials in Athens.  Pink Splash has good pot habit with or without de-eyeing in pot sizes 4-10 inches.  Pink Splash sprouts and finishes quickly, similar to Pink Beauty, but with substantially more pink in the leaves and a more consistent pattern than Pink Beauty.  In the landscape Pink Splash needs a shady location.  Pink Splash can “burn” with high light accompanied by a sudden drop in relative humidity such as when a cold front passed.
