Creamsickle Caladiums

Caladium ‘Creamsickle’ is a 2012 white and burnt orange fancy-leaved introduction from Classic CEO Bob Hartman’s program. Creamsickle is truly a new look in caladiums. Hybridized with the orange variety, Twist N Shout, Creamsickle retained the burnt orange leaf pattern but has contrasting white center and veins. Creamsickle should be de-eyed to intensify its color and improve habit and is suitable for pots 6” and larger. Creamsickle consistently scored 4 of 5 in the 2012 Costa trials in Miami. Creamsickle grows fast and has very short pot crop time. In the landscape it is an intermediate to tall caladium and should be used in partially sunny locations. Because of its parentage it should tolerate full sun but this is yet to be determined.
